CATS3000 News

Organisational Theatre News

Our recent show “Death by PowerPoint” appeared at the Banff Centre in Canada in September as part of an international Organisational Theatre Event. We’re also delighted to announce our new play “Recycled Dreams” which was commissioned for premiere in Edinburgh by Legal and General, followed by a tour around the UK.

We premiered to a terrific response at Legal & General’s office in Edinburgh as well as part of the Edinburgh Fringe at Roman Eagle Lodge. This innovative show explores themes such as personal and corporate sustainability. It is set and performed at a photocopier. Full details of all our shows can be found at the Recycled Dreams
web site. We’re happy to announce a performance as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe on 20th May, as well as a provisional booking at the Business in the Community Conference in London on May 20th.

Recycled Dreams played Upstairs at the Three and Ten on 28th Sept 2008. We’ve since played over 25 shows around the UK including Edinburgh, Brighton, Birmingham and London. We plan to take the show to Slovenia in October 2009.

A new play, called “Aftermath” is currently in development stage. For fuller details and emerging news, visit the
Rational Madness web site (the theatre arm of CATS3000.

New Book Co-Authored by Paul levy of CATS3000

A new book, currently available as a free PDF format manuscript, published by Learning Lab in Denmark explores organisational change using performance and theatre. A fascinating, hands-on read, Paul co-authored the chapter on Planting Seeds and Dropping Bombs!

Download it for free (PDF format, virus checked)

IBF24 - 24 hours of intranet innovation

We continue working in collaboration with the Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF). Paul was involved in designing and facilitating IBF24 - a pioneering virtual conference. Already over 200 people have signed up around the world to explore the world of intranets and virtual communication. This success story has now evolved into a new monthly online broadcast called Intranets Live.

Critical Incident 2009

Heading into its fourth year, Critical Incident will be another 24 hour event, in Brighton on Wednesday 20th May 2009. Watch this space for news and check out the Critical Incident Web site.

The Critical Incident is an event where participants can explore their personal and working lives through experiencing a range of happenings, workshops, discussions and performances. All of the “deliverers” are also trying out new material and experimenting at the leading edge of non-collusive, personal and organisational development. For artists, writers, leaders, managers and individuals and groups wanting to get inspired and challenged.

CATS3000 Activities

We continue to work with Creative Partnerships in the South as well as Legal & General as they attempt to get to grips with sustainability.

As a response to the recession CATS3000 is currently developing activities in the area of “working through the downturn”, and “aftermath leadership skills”. Watch this news section for more information as it emerges.

Personal Projects and News

My personal projects include the further development of
FringeReview, my theatre reviews web site which includes huge growth in London, thanks to the sterling efforts of Skye Crawford. I am also finalising a book of cartoons called Square Hedz as well as a childrens’ novel.
