“Walking alone, or with another, in silence, in a
natural place, renewing personal energy, reflecting or being silent under late summer skies

Sharing stories and experiences around a warm fire or in the cushioned comfort of a
tipee or a meeting room

Getting to grips with a personal or organisational question, problem or challenge, with creative
challenge and input from others

Wonderful music and storytelling, workshops and relaxation”

We can organise and facilitate a retreat for a group in your organisation. Off-site, the group has a possibility to look at personal and working life from very different perspectives.

Organisations do not take enough time out to reflect and theatre and the arts can be the perfect place to really take a step back from day to day working and allow powerful ideas to emerge.

Retreats can be anything from half a day to a few days. We’ve used hotels (as long as they are in inspirational settings, arts venues, and even taken up residence in a tipee at a festival in the countryside!

We use a mix of art forms, built around our skills in organisational theatre and strong facilitation.

Retreats can be used to explore

- personal career and biography
- organisational vision and strategy
- conflict and group dynamics
- next steps for product and service delivery
- morale
- organisational and business values
- a mission for the organisation
- business turnaround
- creativity
- leadership
- problems and blocks in the organisation
- recharging our batteries/re-energising

The aim is to explore the issues from different view points, creating memorable, “critical incidents”, but also refreshing people and the organisation. We use a mix of discussion, reflect and quiet time, access to artistic and cultural activities, deep dialogue and listening, and reflective theatre.

We’ve been involved in retreats in the UK, Denmark, Ireland and Slovenia in both the public and private sector.
