Sit somewhere comfortably, close your eyes, and picture the problem backwards.

Start at the point where the problem surfaced and work backwards, through all of the major events in as much detail as possible.

This may well help to surface the cause of the problem.

Doing this backwards is like reaching with your hand from the present back into the past and attempting to grasp the events that created the present situation.

It can be very difficult, but do persevere!
