A new play that premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, touring theatres and photocopiers throughout the UK.

Our first shows played at photocopiers in real offices at Legal and General, in Cardiff, Swindon, Kingswood, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Ipswich and Brighton.

Starring Richard Franklin (from BBC’s Doctor Who and The Chemical Wedding), Jenny Rowe, Ross Forder and Doug Devaney, this 40-minute play explores a world of wretched contentment, when one day is too much like another, and the little “Planet Office” is as unsustainable as Planet Earth.

About The Play

The sun is setting over Guilford and it's been a day just like any other.

A company-wide launch of the Sustainability 2015 programme, but Planet Earth will have to wait another day at Firefly media Limited Head Office and Customer Care Call Centre Europe. The photocopier lies broken, and three personal lives need to be sorted before the planet can be taken care of.

This is a play that explores personal sustainability and how it fits into the bigger picture. Only when we truly value ourselves and the personal choices we make does the planet really stand a chance. In this play you'll meet three people working in a company who are starting to question what they are doing, why they are doing it, and reaching some very interesting answers...

Firefly Media Limited is drowning in a sea of paper and a deluge of emails. Sustainability 2015 has been launched by top management, some of whom speed away in their BMW series 5s and the buzz of PCs, still warm from being on standby overnight and the smell of photocopier toner still lingers on the evening air. Welcome to Firefly, a company going green in more ways than one - Recycling posters adorn the walls of the coffee areas, and the personal dreams and aspirations of three employees are going green with mould. Four planets are dying, Planet Natalie, Planet Nick and Planet Jamie, oh..and Planet Earth...

The play premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe at the Roman Eagle Lodge on August 21st and 22nd 2008 before touring Legal & General’s photocopiers and then at venues across the UK and overseas.
