Ideas in Motion and Anarcadia are just two of Robin’s many creative and important initiatives. Robin draws from many sources and creates a potent mix of personal development and change. From Feldenkrais to Neuro-Linguistic Programming, from Radical Subjectivity to Storytelling and Myth, Robin is a good person to know if you want to move yourself or your organisation forwards and positively onwards.
I have known Robin as a friend and colleague for many years. He is a director and performer in what one might call “The Theatre of Change”.

The RATIONAL: A master-mind, he brings experience of how the mind and the body inter-relate, Robin will help you make sense of your story and the stories in your organisation

The MADNESS: Robin combines mind-work, play, theatre and story making you deeply question personal thoughts, feelings and actions, in the theatre of organisations and society. He will guide you through comfort, discomfort, through necessary confusion into clarity.

Robin’s Journal

“If we are to cherish and protect this beautiful earth we share then we need to begin to think with a broader perspective and a longer timespan than we are currently used to. We need to create new forms of technology, new forms of economic organisation to support that technology and a beautiful inspiring environment where people can express themselves creatively, communicate freely and participate playfully.”

Robin, on his site, Ideas in Motion

One of the propositions underlying this site is that the creation and appreciation of art is a vital part of cultural exchange.

I'm lucky to live just round the corner from a pub called the lion and lobster and every Thursday and Sunday for the last 5 years, Lawrence Jones, leader of The Brighton Jazz All-Stars has performed his unique blend of music with a collection of accomplished musicians.

Actively engaging in self expression through making art- whether that's pictures, music, stories, films, sculpture, furniture, architecture, gardening is not only good for the soul it developes attitudes ideas and skills that are useful in all aspects of our lives.

When that creativity can be communicated in a loving environment with respect and honesty then it opens up new channels of communication between people. And art can express things that need to be expressed. It can say things at a level that passes conscious awareness. It is a rich vessel for transmitting tacit knowledge.

When the creation and appreciation of art takes place within a community of interest- whether that's a school or a local pub, a work team or a whole organisation then something interesting happens.

People begin to play. They begin to tease and to challenge in a spirit of fun. They begin to laugh at themselves. As a communitiy they begin to grow.

The Garden of Creative Delight is an art collection. It is the beginning. The source from which all else flows. In the garden anything can happen. Imagination runs free, no Censor lurks to scare our dreams away, no right and wrong but what we dare to choose.
